Biography

Dr. Langevin completed her Ph.D. in medicine at the Université de Montréal in 2005 and graduated as a Specialist in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology in 2013. She then completed a complementary clinical training in tropical diseases and tuberculosis Universita degli Studi of Brescia in Italy, Kathmandu in Nepal and Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru. She now practices as a microbiologist-infectiologist in the CISSS Abitibi-Témiscamingue where she is head of the department of infectious diseases. She is a member of the regional infection control committee, the regional antibiogovernance committee and the regional laboratories / optilab committee. She is responsible for the regional HIV clinic and HIV-viral hepatitis co-infections. She also works at the CHUM Foundation’s travel health clinic where she conducts tropical medicine post-trip clinics. She is also a medical adviser at the Quebec National Institute of Public Health (INSPQ) on the Québec Advisory Committee on Travelers’ Health (CCQSV).
