Biography<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dr. Dubreuil received a B.Sc. (Agr.) From Macdonald College (McGill University), a Master’s degree from the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al and a Ph.D. (Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al) ‘Institut Armand-Frappier. A first year of postdoctoral study was conducted at the Pasteur Institute of Paris (Antibacterial Agents Unit) and two others in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology (Victoria University, British Columbia, Canada). He joined the faculty of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al in 1988. In June 2001, he was a one-year study and research intern at the Instituto di Ricerche Immunobiologiche Siena-Chiron, A pharmaceutical research center located in Siena, Italy. In this center, he carried out research on the virulence of Helicobacter pylori. He is the author of more than 120 scientific publications, including numerous journals and several book chapters on Escherichia coli toxins. Very involved with the Canadian Society of Microbiologists, he was elected President for the period 2013-2014. Since June 2014, he has been Director of the Department of Pathology and Microbiology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
